As an American expat living in Thailand since November 1995, Scott Mallon has worked as a boxing and travel photojournalist for numerous publications, including HBO Sports, the Bangkok Post, The Ring, Boxing Digest, Boxing News, the Phuket Gazette and Macleans Magazine. He is
​a past member of the Boxing Writers Association of America, Ring Magazine's Rating Panel, Yahoo's Boxing Rating Panel and was formerly the editor of Asian Boxing News. ​In 2007, the Boxing Writers Association of America awarded him with an honorary mention for investigative reporting.
